JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:#Performs plumbing activities in accordance with work specifications, codes and regulations.# Inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fitting, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems and performs other duties as assigned.# Provides on-call and call back coverage as required.## MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT OPERATED:#Acetylene torches, hacksaw, pipe benders, cutters, threaders, wrenches and other plumbers# tools. # JOB REQUIREMENTS: # EDUCATION:#Graduate of a trade or vocational school in plumbing. # EXPERIENCE:#Three (3) years of experience in plumbing, steam fitting or related skilled crafts or trade or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Knowledge of standard plumbing concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications; work from sketches and verbal instructions. Demonstrates ability to effectively utilize judgment to plan and accomplish work goals in a timely manner.# Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment and exhibit customer service skills. # PHYSICAL DEMANDS:#Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, twisting, reaching, handling, and kneeling; color vision, hand/eye coordination and dexterity; exposure to hazards from use of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment; light work - exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. # LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:#Current local Code Enforcement Journeymen Plumbers License with backflow certification or will receive license within six months. # #
