**Description**

**Essential Functions**

** Develop and maintain a formal, active accident prevention program through the identification and elimination of hazards and minimization of potential risks as a product of diligent risk analysis.**

** Monitor compliance of Department activities with applicable safety standards (e.g., DOT, FAA, OSHA, and EPA).**

** Continuously assess the impact of all company policies and procedures on the safety of flight operations and make recommendations to the Director of Operations for improvements with respect to Flight Safety.**

** Investigate occurrences and incidents as required and make recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.**

** Develop and maintain a system of communications for collecting, analyzing, tracking, exchanging and disseminating information related to Flight Safety.**

** Conduct periodic Flight Safety training for company pilots.**

** Develop and maintain an internal assessment program to monitor the effectiveness of the Flight Safety Program.**

** Provides periodic reports to management on state of the company flight safety program.**

** Develop and maintain all ground, simulator and flight training programs required for the companys Part 135 Training Manual (14 CFR Part 135 Subpart H) and any additional training programs required for the special missions performed for the CAS MOS or other contracts.**

** Maintain pilot ground and flight training records to ensure all data is adequate, accurate, current and consistent with 14 CFR 135.63.**

** Recommend changes to the Chief Pilot regarding manuals, checklists, etc.**

** Develop and maintain a continuity folder detailing the actions necessary to accomplish the above responsibilities.**

** Fly as SIC on a Lear 35/36**

**o Perform both Pilot Flying and Pilot Not Flying duties including communications and navigation worldwide IAW 14 CFR and applicable ICAO regulations.**

**o Provide training support for USN, USAF and NATO units**

** In two ship formations including flights down to 100 ft AGL while simultaneously providing a variety of electronic simulations using wing mounted EW pods.**

** With target tow capability for ship and aerial gunnery.**

**o Fly complex profiles with precisely timed heading, speed and altitude changes in support of civil and DOD RDT&E projects.**

**o Complete the pilot flight check requirements specified in 14 CFR 135.293, 135.297, and 135.299.**
