SMG is seeking a Safety Director in Lebanon, Indiana.
The key functions of this position are managing teams/departments and providing oversight of program execution and ownership.
Additional Information
- SMG full-time, benefited Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
- Annual pay/merit review/increase.
Overview of Job Responsibilities
- Manage teams/departments, oversight of program execution, and program ownership
- Support project leadership with safety on a mega construction project
- Partner with the project team to support the proper execution of all local/State/and Federal safety requirements
- Serve as a liaison between the client and contractors, fulfilling operating procedures and safety policies
- Partner with the project team and all trade partners to build and maintain a safety culture aligned with the client's vision
- Conduct safety observations and establish appropriate corrective actions for all unsafe conditions or practices identified during field visits
- Keep stakeholders informed of the safety performance of the contractors working on the project
- Facilitates Incident Reporting Procedures
- Provide safety "boots on the ground" resources for the client to ensure program execution
- Provide coaching to contractors when gaps are identified and communicate safety expectations
- Influence the proper execution of safety plans and participate in event investigations
Requirements
- 10 years of construction safety experience
- Three-plus years of experience managing teams/departments, overseeing program execution, and managing program ownership
- Previous Commissioning experience
- Degree in Safety or related fields
- Previous safety leadership experience
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course

Salary : $99,000 - $124,800
