JOB TITLE: SERVICE MECHANIC FOR HEAVY EQUIPMENT

SERVICE MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for repair and maintenance of customer and company owned heavy equipment at the branch and in the field at customer sites

• Repair and maintain heavy equipment at our facilities and in the field
• Communicate with customers
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics

SERVICE MECHANIC REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Technology, and Physical Requirements)

• Valid driver’s license and must meet General Liability driving requirements in order to operate a company vehicle when necessary.
• Pass a DOT physical
• Lift parts (10-100 lbs.) regularly
• Have own tools necessary to complete job
• Operation of forklift required
• Climbing stairs/ladders to reach all portions of equipment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to travel as needed for jobs and schooling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Experience:

• heavy equipment repair: 2 years (Required)
• Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Required)
• Hydraulics: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Grand Rapids, MI 49504: Relocate before starting work (Required)
