Position: Field Service Technician – Grand Rapids, MI Region
Travel: Required
Pay Range: $20.00-$28.00

What you will be doing: You will be responsible for troubleshooting, installation and repair of 12-volt electronic systems that focus around fleet and warehouse applications. Technicians may work on a variety of devices; ranging from GPS’s, refrigeration monitors, and self-guiding systems, to tire inflation systems, speed governors, and secondary power connections.
Requirements to Apply:
- Must have a minimum of one year 12-volt electronic, automotive, mechanical and/or technical work experience or related schooling, to include a basic understanding of installation services and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Must have prior work experience troubleshooting mechanics and electrical systems.
- Must be able to regularly travel for this position, including overnight or multi-night travel within an assigned or designated area.
- Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of various Mobile Computing Device(s).
- Must supply own tools
- Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and overtime to meet customer product availability timelines.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
- Must have a professional appearance, be dependable and reliable
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Ability to retain knowledge of standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods, climb ladders and lift in excess of 50 pounds either with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must have the ability to operate a variety of standard hand tools and power tools for extended periods per day.
