ReCharge Payments is Hiring a Remote Technical Product Manager

Overview

We have big ambitions here at Recharge. We are on a quest to help merchants improve customer relationships, improve retention, and reduce acquisition costs. The road won’t be easy, but you are looking for the challenge of your life. You are not afraid to deal with ambiguity, love breaking down complex problems into achievable chunks, and are passionate about the merchant and shopper experience.

This role is for you if you love diving into technical details while driving the overall strategy. We need a creative and resourceful Product Manager who will listen to problems and accelerate the team toward solving them.

What you’ll do

  • Speak with merchants to understand their problems

  • Partner with the engineering team to ship functionality that delights merchants, has the right balance of impact vs. engineering cost, and makes a measurable impact on the business

  • Validate product ideas, and prototypes with early adopters and beta testers

  • Define key success metrics for your features

  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Account Management, Sales, and Partnership teams to launch new features and drive product awareness and adoption

  • Write product specifications that clearly document the current problem, the opportunity, the proposed solution, along with pragmatic milestones that optimize for speed over completeness

  • Build and manage a roadmap informed by qualitative feedback and quantitative data

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

  • Demonstrated success in building e-commerce products at scale, preferably in the Shopify ecosystem
  • 5 years of product management experience shipping high-quality merchant-focused products

  • Enjoys getting to the root of a problem using data and validating through customer feedback

  • Deep user empathy and strong product vision, persistent in creating a product experience that not only satisfies but delights users

  • Have well-informed opinions on what great looks like in a product while also realizing that greatness can be achieved in small incremental steps

  • Known to make things happen quickly and are influential across product teams

  • Experience collaborating with designers, developers, marketers, and customers

  • Managing stakeholder relationships and synthesizing their expectations with your roadmap

  • Ability to tell a compelling story and adjust messaging based on the audience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with launching API products
