Responsibilities

Gather Scope of Work : Review project specifications, plans, and related documents to gain a thorough understanding of the project scope.

Identify Material and Sub Requirements : Determine the materials, equipment, and subcontractor services needed for each project.

Maintain Cost Data : Keep updated records of material costs, labor rates, and other relevant expenses to ensure accurate estimating.

Contribute to Team Effort : Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.

Prepare Quantity Takeoffs : Conduct accurate quantity takeoffs to estimate the required materials and labor for each project.

Acquire Proposals : Solicit and evaluate proposals from subcontractors in required trades to obtain competitive pricing.

Resolve Discrepancies : Address any discrepancies or conflicts in project specifications or pricing to ensure accuracy.

Timely Completion of Estimates : Meet deadlines for completing estimates to facilitate project planning and scheduling.

Follow-Up and Close Deals : Communicate with clients to answer questions, address concerns, and secure project contracts after proposal submission.
