We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for commercial construction projects, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We are a leading firm specializing in commercial construction. Our client is pursuing projects across various sectors including office, retail, hospitality, and healthcare. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  2. Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
  3. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  4. Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  5. Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimating process and improve accuracy.
  6. Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to clients, architects, and project stakeholders.
  7. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations as required.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, construction materials, and labor costs to ensure competitiveness in bidding.
  9. Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
  10. Support project teams during the procurement and bidding process.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
  3. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or equivalent.
  4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  8. Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  9. Experience with value engineering and cost-saving strategies preferred.
  10. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Professional certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar is a plus.
