Sales Manager

  • Remote, and up to 40% travel within the USA

Raise Workforce has partnered with a global supplier of speciality chemicals that is looking to hire a Sales Manager to add to their world-class technical sales team. The successful hire will be responsible for managing and calling on accounts within their Polymers & CASE Division, and will be growing and maintaining the current customer base by conducting technical meetings via zoom & in person with current and prospective customers.

What you will be doing…

  • Grow and maintain relationships with key decision makers at current customers and new prospects
  • Work with and communicate with the Vice President of Sales and Business Unit Managers to implement sales strategy (pricing, forecasting, technical support, etc.)
  • 70% of time spent closing new business/30% spent on current business
  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process
  • Research accounts, identify key decision makers, generate interest and qualify new leads
  • Explain and demonstrate technical features of products and services to customers
  • Stay informed about competing products and services
  • Upsell products and services
  • Managing the interaction between different internal departments to fill orders and fulfill sample requests
  • Update and expand database of prospects
  • Attend trade shows
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Why this is the right job for you…

  • Bachelors Degree preferred; equivalent Sales experience will be considered
  • Experience selling within the chemical, oil & gas, composites or plastics industry required
  • Must be able to travel overnight on occasion for trade shows, client visits, etc.
  • Proven track record of achieving Sales growth
  • Strong telephone skills completing cold calls & following through with warm leads
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and CRM Software
  • Must hold a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Must be able to consent to a background check and drug test
