R.L.B Alliance DBA Teckjet is Hiring a Project Coordinator Near New York, NY

This position will provide direct support to the Project Manager and their respective Directors. Duties include the management of projects from initiation to completion, preparing reports, presentations, analyses, and propose recommendations. Also, providing assistance in managing the preparation of schedules, estimates, and project controls and ensuring project adherence to agency's Project Development Lifecycle framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Goals
  • Assist in the management of departmental goals, initiatives, and strategies.
  • Exercise good people skills and promote cooperation and partnering with other departments.
  • Project Management
  • Manage issues that affect project performance.
  • Manage the control of project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Project Administration
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting minutes, research papers, and executive studies.
  • Project filing and documentation control.
  • Special Assignments
  • Perform other assignments as requested.
  • Participate in special assignments representing PMO as required.

Qualifications:

  • Possess prior project coordination experience.
  • Working knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across all functional areas and levels.
  • Effective at managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to organize reports and analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Strong business administration skills in report writing and spreadsheets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from an accredited institution or training company. (Black Belt preferred).
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint version 2010 or higher
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; a self-starter
  • Familiarity with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and documenting key process requirements and can produce sample work upon request
  • General Knowledge of public mass transit assets & operations
  • Expert Knowledge of lean methods, waste elimination, 5S, total productive maintenance, flow, and error proofing
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and value stream mapping
  • Strong Problem Solving & analytical skills
  • Strong Project Management, coordination and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong Leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate and foster teamwork
  • Strong ability to exercise a reasonable level or in-depth judgement and decision making
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational & planning skills with attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to prepare concise and insightful reports in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels in the company & outside agencies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Work, EXCEL, Visio, Access, etc).
  • Proficient in MS VISIO for process mapping
