The Telecommunications Technician/Analyst is responsible for providing support and troubleshooting for all telecommunications services and installations on a day-to-day and 24/7 as needed basis (level 1, level 2, or level 3, as required). The position is responsible for installation, maintenance and supporting the voice and data network physical infrastructure.

Preferred specialized knowledge includes:

• Knowledge of fiber optic cabling including connector termination, fiber optic troubleshooting using an OTDR, OLTS & Visual fault light testing.
• Avaya TDM PBX
• Avaya VOIP PBX
• Call Accounting System
• Voice recording systems
• Valcom Paging Systems
• Avaya Intuity Voicemail
• Cat 5e/6 cabling-including termination and certification
• Wide Area Network
• Local Area Network
• SES, ATM, T-1, Pots lines, trunking, etc.
