Our soon-to-be unveiled Lafayette Miami Steakhouse in the Brickell Miami area will be the newest addition to our portfolio. Responsibilities:

  1. Culinary Leadership:

    • Work closely with the Head Chef to execute the culinary vision of the restaurant.
    • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring a high standard of food preparation and presentation.
    • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and ensuring consistency in all dishes.
  2. Quality Control:

    • Maintain rigorous quality control standards in food preparation and presentation.
    • Conduct regular inspections of ingredients, equipment, and overall kitchen cleanliness.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to uphold the highest standards of taste, texture, and visual appeal.
  3. Training and Development:

    • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Ensure that all team members are familiar with and adhere to relevant health and safety regulations.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  4. Inventory Management:

    • Oversee and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage.
    • Implement efficient processes to minimize waste and control costs.
    • Work with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients.
  5. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to create innovative and seasonally inspired dishes.
    • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless and coordinated dining experience for guests.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-end, chef-driven establishment.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
