Join our team as a HR Generalist II!This is a hybrid role based in Maple Plain, MN.
Our Human Resource team is looking for a Human Resources Generalist II to support our fast paced and growing organization. The Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for independently performing comprehensive HR support for our Maple Plain location. This position leads the execution of the day-to-day responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
What you'll do:
You will work collaboratively with managers, supervisors, employees, and other department stakeholders - serving as the main point of contact for HR items, including:
Advise managers on legal guidelines for hiring, managing, disciplining, and evaluating employee performance.
Assist with the buy-in and implementation of processes of organizational change initiatives and HR programs.
Assists in employee relations counseling and exit interviews.
Facilitate the performance management process by supporting both managers and employees.
Support the administration and implementation of the annual merit increase and talent planning process.
May facilitate orientation, onboarding, and training activities.
Lead the leave management and accommodation processes.
Participate in initial data intake and analysis for compensation requests.
Responsible for maintaining accurate employee records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Lead employee engagement activities and programs
Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies, procedures, requirements, and applicable legal regulations.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
About you:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS applications and analytics
Advanced knowledge of employment law and HR policies and practices; financial/business acumen
Ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
Excellent planning, problem solving, prioritizing and business partnering skills.
Ability to influence and successfully implement organizational changes
Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment
Able to work with confidential information

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. However, there may be job duties that require the employee to spend time in the manufacturing areas exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection occasionally required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
