ProStaff Solutions Inc is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Brunswick, NJ
Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $20-24/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday – 9am-5 pm
Ability to work every 2 weeks in New Brunswick & Newark locationsJob Summary:The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for performing the company accounts payable
process and functions in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position prepares, codes, and enters invoices into Financial Edge. This position ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to accounts payable.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs data entry associated with accounts payable
- Accurately codes and posts invoices, journals, ledgers, and other records
- Matches check requests to invoices and submitted documentation prior to processing
- Distributes A/P checks to in-house personnel and mails all others on a specified schedule
- Scans check requests and ensures that all transactions are properly stored on the server
- Communicates all activities to controller
- Provides supporting documentation for audits
- Assists Controller and other finance department members on special projects when needed
- High school diploma required; bachelor degree in Business Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook or Financial Edge
- Experience in organizations with multiple and complex banking relationships
- Extremely organized, detailed oriented, able to prioritize, and meet specific deadlines
- Communication proficiency
