This position will be managing and maintaining grant materials for all new and existing grants for our Environmental and Newborn Screening Divisions; including but not limited to Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP), Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act (WIIN), SafeWatch, Newborn Screening Propel, Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), Interagency Agreements, and Memorandum of Understanding Agreements.
This position will manage and lead the grant writing process, send deadline reminders to all lab staff involved in the grant writing process, and coordinate with end users to ensure timely completion of all grant requirements. This position will be preparing comprehensive and cohesive grant packets; including review of budgets and narratives prior to submission, ensuring budget numbers and justifications are consistent and correct. This position will be reviewing division milestones to ensure they are appropriate milestones for satisfying grant compliance; including providing a chronological time stamp that leads to milestone completion. This position will function as a lab liaison to other various grant managers across Departments and tracks and monitors appropriate grant budgets and grant funded laboratory positions in their divisions.
This position will seek new grant opportunities for lab consideration. Other administrative duties to include maintaining and researching historical grant documentation, creating, and maintaining grant manual and associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
