PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
Ensure that we meet/exceed customer expectations for timely delivery of quality product utilizing good general business practices that are in full compliance with any state or federal requirements. Excellent communication skills are required and the need for accurate detailed information is a must.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Management of the order taking function. Orders will be received by different means (verbal, telephone, fax, e-mail, etc.) and they must all operate properly.
2. Ensure all pertinent information is gathered when placing orders (i.e., company, key contact, product, quantity, delivery date, special instructions, etc.).
3. Responsible for entering orders accurately into the database to ensure the pick tickets, packing slips and bill of lading and invoicing are correct.
4. Responsible for pricing quoted to customers and prospects is correct.
5. Responsible for lot tracking to ensure invoicing and inventory control is maintained.
6. Responsible for obtaining freight quotes, selection of optimum carrier and scheduling LTL, UPS and Spee-dee Delivery pick up.
7. Assist in maintenance of customer order forms, pricing and ERP customer maintenance.
8. Provide link between sales, operations, and the customer.
