Overview:
We are a single family office serving a high net worth family involved primarily in real estate investments. In the role of bookkeeper, you will also be asked to assist in some administrative tasks, though you will primarily support for the Controller. The ideal candidate has experience in accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation. Experience and proficiency in Quickbooks and the ability to perform light administrative tasks for the office. This role is crucial for maintaining our financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting our Controller in daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for multiple entities and personal accounts of principals
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Provide accounting support to Controller as needed
- Research topics upon request
- Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail
- Greet visitors, answer phones and route calls, distribute messages
- Organize and maintain central filing system
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders
- Set up meetings and manage shared corporate calendar
- General office duties upon request (scanning, copying, faxing, FedEx, coordinating signatures)
