Primary Care Access Network is Hiring a Program Manager Near Orlando, FL

Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) is hiring a full-time program manager position. This position provides support and management to a highly visible and complex project focused on health insurance and systems navigation. PCAN’s Marketplace Navigator Project, “Covering Central Florida”, is a grant funded program with the mission to assist and educate individuals, families, and community partners in understanding the Health Insurance Marketplace, established by the Affordable Care Act, and enroll consumers into health insurance coverage.
NOTE: Candidate must be able to pass a Level II background check as well as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Health Insurance Marketplace Certified Navigator training.
About the Organization::
PCAN is a dynamic collaborative among Orange County Government, primary health care centers, community agencies, hospitals, and other social services. PCAN’s mission is to improve the access, quality, and coordination of health care services to the underinsured and uninsured populations of Orange County. PCAN is a registered 501©3 not-for-profit organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
Leadership/Management (50%):
  • Lead, monitor, and supervise all navigators on the project.
  • Develop, coordinate, and establish partnerships for the project and for the benefit of the community.
  • Negotiate and establish potential navigator presence at new locations within the community.
  • Ensure navigators are scheduling and reporting outreach events within the required time.
  • Provide updates to granting organization on outreach events.
  • Ensure appointment schedules for navigators are accurate project wide and appointments are closed out in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the duties of the Administrative Coordinator, Navigator Advisor and Communications Coordinator.
Programmatic (50%)::
  • Ensure initial and continuing education of project navigators.
  • Technical assistance delivery implementation
  • Analyze and implement strategies to enhance and expand the Covering Central Florida project.
  • Ensure project compliance and quality assurance measures are met by navigators.
  • Analyze navigator performance, compliance, and knowledge.
  • Ensure navigators are equipped with the tools, information, knowledge, and support needed to meet their individual requirements as stipulated in the grant.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities::
  • Computer skills – intermediate level or above required; ability to efficiently navigate the Internet and input data into applicable computer systems: familiarity with Google Doc, Sheets, PowerPoint Presentations, database programs, Zoom, etc.
  • Knowledge of social service programs and grants
    • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments for the team.
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and appropriately with both peers and professionals, as well as consumers (individuals and families)
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work in diverse settings in the community.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Must be a self-starter and work with limited supervision.
Education and Experience Requirements::
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a graduate degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience in healthcare or related field as well as supervisory experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus (English/Spanish)

The position will be in Orlando, and reports to the Administrative Director.
Starting salary $35 per hour :with health care related stipend and pension plan after 90- day probationary period.
