Preventive Measures is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Philadelphia, PA

The Human Resources Specialist supports and facilitates the human resources processes for the organization and is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. This position is a key function to supporting and engaging company culture and initiatives.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a variety of cross-functional duties in the administration of human resources, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations (LOA, attendance, level 1 &2 disciplinary actions, exit interviews), status changes, workers comp, unemployment, etc.).
  • Provide coaching and training to managers, supervisors and other employees.
  • Provide information on employee programs and policies
  • Complete special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling obligations
  • Provides guidance on Employee Relations issues and Performance Management
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Assists in being backup for recruiting as needed
  • Assists in New Hire Orientation
  • Supports and engages in company culture and initiatives
  • Responsible on maintain knowledge of employment laws
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned

Job Skills:

  • Strong MS Office and HRIS systems knowledge
  • Demonstrated ethical conduct
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills

Education/Experience:

SHRM Certification, a degree in Human Resources or the equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in Human Resources.
