POSITION:
Project Manager
LOCATION:
Sulphur, La.
I SUMMARY OF POSITION:
  • Direct responsibility for management of multiple medium and small capital projects.
§ Creating the Proposals based on the Scope of Work (SOW), Schedule, and Cost. Including all related activities include estimating, budgeting, schedule, staffing and project completion.
§ Weekly Project Status Reporting (Internal and External)
§ Provides single point interface with Client on all activities.
II RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops Proposals for all engineering activities including, facilitating development of scopes of work, scheduling and estimating.
  • Project Management skills include Scope development, Scheduling, Estimating, Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • Manages all proposals and ensures that they are completed within required deadlines.
  • Manages all project engineering activities including setting of priorities, budgeting, and scheduling, procurement, and construction activities (as required).
  • Manages Project Engineer assigned to medium projects.
  • Ensures all project related cost are held within the approved budgets.
  • Reviews and approves all project-related documentation.
  • Schedules and facilitates weekly project status meetings, and minutes of meetings are written and sent out to Project Team.
  • Schedules and participates in the Process Hazards Analysis for projects.
  • Approves charges associated with projects, including labor and material.
  • Approves all project team members including construction personnel (if applicable)
  • Leads the effort to identify any Project Change Orders both internally and externally.
  • Interfaces with client including providing weekly project reports with cost and schedule status.
  • Manages all Project Phases of project engineering, procurement, and supports construction activities (as required).
  • Forecasting schedule progress, projected cost at completion and project resource requirement and project completion.
III MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Actively pursuing registration as a professional engineer.
  • 10 years of experience total with 5 years as a project engineer and 5 years of Project Management in the petroleum industry (Chemical and Refining).
  • Provided Project Management for projects of $100MM
  • Project Management skills - scope development, scheduling, estimating, and budgeting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Engineering Design Company.
  • Available for short-term travel.
  • Forecasting schedule progress, projected cost at completion and project resource requirement and project completion.
IV REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Reports to the Director of Projects
V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
