Pleasanton Physical Therapy Services, Inc is Hiring a Front Office Receptionist Near Walnut Creek, CA

Job Description

**Looking for an experienced patient care coordinator/medical receptionist for our Walnut Creek location. This position is responsible for handling an extremely busy office environment with a heavy patient load

**Covid Vaccinations are required.**

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answering Phones, assisting patients over the phone, and directing calls.
  • New patient intakes for Physical Therapy, Massage, and Wellness Services and scheduling appointments.
  • Greeting patients, checking patients in, collecting copayments/service charges owed, and directing them to where to go in the clinic.
  • Patient chart/paperwork preparation, scanning, and filing
  • Work as a team with other staff members in order to provide excellent customer service and teamwork.
  • Assist patients in understanding how to complete forms and verify accuracy of patient form completion.
  • Obtain authorization for treatment and enter information in the computer system.
  • Obtain patient’s insurance benefits with regards to physical therapy
  • Respect patients' right to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain an orderly and professional working atmosphere.-
  • Properly dressed according to the approved dress code.
  • Adhere to guidelines concerning working hours and break periods.
  • Demonstrate support to others by offering help.
  • As a Team player able to come up with a solution to a problem perceived.
  • Maintain professional standards and procedures ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and Company policies and procedures.
  • Take all the necessary precautions to protect center assets and property against loss or waste through negligence or dishonesty.

Knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • The ability to work under pressure and execute duties in a fast pace and high patient volume environment.
  • Skill in using common office equipment, including computers and comprehensive knowledge of Word, Excel.
  • -Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with patients, other staff and the general public.
  • -Strong ability for problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers patient complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed.-Good telephone manners and etiquette.
  • -Good oral and written communication skills in English.-Detail orientation and organization.
  • Spanish speaking ability is preferred but not necessary.

We are looking for Candidates who embody the following:

  • Desire and ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced busy environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, follow directions accurately and meet deadlines
  • Strong Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, email, Windows 10 (or similar)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Hours/Availability: We are looking for a team member who can work Full Time 40 hours per week. Flexibility for scheduling is very helpful.

Starting Pay: $16- $20 (based on qualifications and experience)
