- As an Electrical Engineer in Prototyping and Concept Team, candidate will employ candidate's expertise in problem solving and prototyping to accelerate product development across client's VR hardware organization.
- Candidate will collaborate with teams within Hardware Engineering, Research and Development, and Industrial Design.
- The team is responsible for rapidly building and iterating polished high-fidelity prototypes and development platforms that bring new ideas to life by expressing design intent and user experience - using the best and most appropriate tools and techniques for the task.
- Client is seeking an Electrical Engineer who has a passion for working across disciplines to turn early cutting-edge concepts and technologies into reality.
- As an Electrical Engineer, candidate will be responsible for circuit design, layout, bring-up and debug as part of prototype and concept development.
- Candidate must be able to work with minimal guidance, demonstrate a high attention to detail, be partnership-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Candidate must be a self-starter, well-organized and have excellent communication skills.
- Partner with Design, Engineering and Research teams to identify and solve complex design and technological challenges.
- Specifying components, building schematics, completing board layouts, assembling, testing, debugging, and integrating designs into opto-electro-mechanical systems
- Collaborating in a team environment with cross-functional teams such system engineering, architecture, product design, firmware engineering, NPI and research.
- Transforming vendor and internal reference designs into custom solutions
- Ability to execute multiple streams of work simultaneously and independently balance and prioritize project workload to ensure success against timeline constraints
Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
- 8 plus years of experience (bumped up)
- onsite in Seattle (not worried about overqualification)
- Must have: Analog, schematics, trouble shooting and debugging
- Hands-on experience
- Mixed signal board designs (analog and digit)
- Debugging equipment
- Gone through multiple cycles from another company- trouble shooting
- Low power circuitry
- Worked on consumer electronics, higher speed design, RF experience, worked with flexible end design, Python or C (no minimum requirement)
- Needing more design experience (not peer validation or test engineering but a full design engineer
- Minimum 5 plus years of experience
- Story Behind the Need - Business Group & Key Projects:
- Growth on the team- key project- supporting prototyping for existing project- enabling the rest of the team.
- Consumer electronics would be a good fit
- Pretty crazy resources available to push technology- cutting edge tech development that will be seen by millions of customer.
- Electrical design engineer -working on updating a schematic in a design, coordinating with engineers, scheduling and hosting design reviews, troubleshooting any issues, working cross functionally.
- Owning integration piece
- Continuous requests for components
- Working in the lab- standard EE design engineer role.
- Meet their projected execution timelines, being clear and communicating if things come up, designs will be primarily functional when complete, -drowning and not asking for help is a problem.
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
