A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEF DE CUISINE
As a leader in our dining room kitchen, you provide leadership to the à la carte culinary team to prepare elegant, upscale, and delicious meals to serve to our PDC’s members and guests. You are always passionate about good food, you help the team uphold our exceptional standards, and you exceed our members’ expectations. Each shift, you oversee the preparation and selection of high-quality steaks and seafood as well as other meats, vegetables, sauces, and stocks. You ensure your team members carefully follow recipes and work diligently to maintain the quality, consistency, and timeliness of our cuisines.
In addition to the food prep, you make certain our staff properly store and handle all products by conducting regular inspections of serving areas while overseeing the training to confirm safe, sanitary food-handling practices. You love the camaraderie that comes with leading a cohesive culinary team in a tightly run kitchen. A typical work schedule is five days a week with Monday and one other variable day off.
