Responsibilities

• Manage our Discord and Reddit online communities - promoting lively discussion and connection as the "on-the-ground" voice of Perplexity.
• Design, onboard, and launch our Ambassador program. Identify and partner with power searchers, strategic influencers, and content creators to help tell Perplexity's story.
• Partner with our Growth, Business, and Product teams to get the word out about new launches and partnerships.
• Work closely with our Storytelling team to brainstorm content for specific use-cases; connect with power searchers that can contribute to this content.
• Be an incredible resource to our community members and provide value every day.
• Know our users' needs better than anyone else and shape the company's roadmap accordingly.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience launching growth initiatives, managing communities, and/or building out ambassador programs.
• Familiarity with community tools such as Discord, Circle, or Bevy and content creation tools like Canva, Midjourney, and Framer, and Figma.
• You have incredible taste when it comes to content strategy, positioning, and human-centered thinking.
• You're a natural creative that can not only generate ideas, but also execute with precision and urgency.
• You're motivated by aggressive timelines and thrive in a 0-to-1 environment.

The cash compensation for this role is $100,000 - $120,000.
Since publicly launching the world's first fully functional conversational answer engine a year ago, we've grown to 10 million monthly active users and have served over half a billion queries in 2023.To support our rapid consumer adoption and expansion plans, we've raised $73.6 million in Series B funding from trusted VC firms and prominent tech visionaries. IVP led the round with continued support from our Seed and Series A investors NEA, Elad Gil, Nat Friedman, and Databricks, as well as new investors NVIDIA, Jeff Bezos (through Bezos Expeditions Fund), Tobi Lutke, Bessemer Venture Partners, Naval Ravikant, Balaji Srinivasan, Guillermo Rauch, Austen Allred, Factorial Funds, and Kindred Ventures, among others. Building upon our earlier this year, we've now raised $100 million to date.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
