WHAT YOU WILL DO

This multi-dimensional role combines tutoring, training, student program management, customer relations and business development responsibilities:

  • Tutoring: You will work directly with students two afternoons per week. This is the very best way to get to know our students, staff and programs!
  • Instructional floor oversight: You will act as the Center’s instructional manager one afternoon per week, working to ensure a positive and productive learning environment. You will ensure that everything is ready to go for the following day’s sessions. You will be supported by the center’s teaching assistant.
  • Recruitment and training: You will assist with recruiting, screening, onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing coaching and training of our tutors.
  • Student program management: You will carefully monitor student academic progress to ensure timely achievement of goals, making learning program adjustments as needed.
  • Family account management: You will schedule and conduct regular academic progress conferences with parents, ensuring that learning programs are fully addressing current family goals as these evolve. You will verify that all families in your caseload have sufficient tuition remaining to cover upcoming sessions and alert families when tuition is running low.
  • Business development: A top priority will be working to retain the students in your caseload by providing excellent customer service. You will participate in tuition sale promotion to your caseload of families and will support the team by handling inquiry calls, initial assessments and new student enrollment conferences as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Teaching or tutoring experience
  • Prior administrative or supervisory experience
  • Strong team player and collaborator
  • High level of professionalism, including commitment to maintaining confidentiality of student, staff, family and center information
  • Track record of applying sound judgement to prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to draw on organizational and time management skills to ensure timely task completion
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Prior sales experience and/or willingness to develop sales skills

SCHEDULE

Must be available to work in person at our center during these hours:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:15 am to 7:45 pm
  • Wednesdays from 10:15 am to 6:45 pm
  • 1-2 Saturdays per month from 9:00 am to 2:50 p.m.
  • Occasional additional Friday or Sunday hours to fill in for other team members
