The Market Development Manager (MDM) will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives for PENTAX Medical. They will be responsible for moving market development objectives forward to build PENTAX as a leader in the GI space, with a primary focus on developing the Cryoballoon Franchise. MDM’s will collaborate with internal teams on marketing initiatives with a strong emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Grow pipeline for the Cryoballoon Franchise within assigned geography. Identify, target, and close leads for the CryoBalloon within assigned region. Use technical expertise to ensure the closing of the sale of these leads. 
  • Identify, develop and foster strategic market initiatives within assigned geographic territory and within key Societies.
  • Develop Cryoballoon/interventional KOLs and Centers of Excellence for training and market expansion, including Esophageal and Interventional Markets.
  • Prioritize involvement in regional shows/live hands-on demos.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure messaging to key accounts and stakeholders is consistent.
  • Actively participate with the team during product development and commercialization for key products, services and solutions.
  • In conjunction with Director of Clinical Affairs, manage the training and research/clinical trials with physicians in academic centers & large community hospitals.
  • Create and foster partnerships with key stakeholders in large US Interventional GI institutions.
  • Work with the field to identify and execute key account initiatives and educational events,
  • Execute and be the point person to follow through on action items.
  • Aid in the development and market acceptance for any new technologies in the pipeline and through commercialization (Upstream and Downstream Activities).
  • Assist with creating deeper penetration with key providers in Non-Pentax accounts, to further develop Interventional opportunities. 
  • Weekly phone calls with sales management to review: prospecting activities, deal status, KOL development, upcoming demos, pipeline development, MD trainings, key physician development progress, and upcoming key trade shows/regional interventional GI conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Previous clinical applications experience, including a strong knowledge of the Barrett’s Esophagus disease and its market
  • 5-10 Years of sales experience in representing medical devices 
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM cloud-based software
  • Must be able to cover the geography of assigned region
  • Must be able to travel as needed to achieve assigned sales plan. Up to 75% travel as necessary to support assigned sales region.
