Job Description:

As part of the Corporate Affairs team, PayPal’s Corporate Communications team is responsible for sharing the company’s compelling story and business performance to key stakeholder groups, including employees, customers, business and trade media, and investors. We partner across the company with teams such as commercial communications, employee communications, finance, government relations, legal, people and technology to build programs that communicate our mission, explain our strategy, and enhance our corporate reputation.

This role will report into PayPal’s Sr. Director, Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities:

Executive Communications:

• Lead executive communications for our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), developing communication strategies that align with the CTO's vision and business objectives
• Craft talking points, presentations, and communications for our CTO for various internal and external engagements ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with company strategy
• Develop an external communication strategy to enhance visibility and reputation of our CTO as a thought leader
• Develop an external communication strategy to enhance visibility and reputation of our SVP, Blockchain, Crypto and Digital Currencies as a thought leader

Internal Communications:

• Develop and implement internal communication plans that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with the organization's technology vision and business priorities
• Manage internal platforms and channels to facilitate transparent and effective communication within the organization

External Storytelling:

• Develop and execute external communication strategies that showcase the company's technology innovation story to media, customers, industry influencers, and the broader public
• Drive thought leadership initiatives to promote PayPal’s technology stack, AL/machine learning innovation story, and talent by positioning PayPal within key technology trends, industry insights, and market dynamics
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create compelling content, including articles, blog posts, and whitepapers

• Cultivate brand advocates within the organization and empower them to share our technology story through various channels.
• Monitor and proactively address potential issues and crises.

Ideal Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in corporate, product, or technology communications
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex technical concepts to various audiences
• Experience working with C-level executives and a deep understanding of executive communication strategies
• Track record of successful thought leadership and external storytelling campaigns
• Familiarity with current technology trends and a passion for innovation

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $118700 to $246290
