General contractor/construction manager based in Fairfax, VA seeking unique individual to be supportive member of the project management team in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate takes ownership of the project from conception to end result, is organized, self-motivated and has effective problem solving skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• High level of familiarity/experience with commercial construction (Industrial, Institutional,
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Deliver projects on time and under budget while achieving the highest level of client satisfaction and quality
• Proactively and effectively communicate with clients and project team
• Plan and manage all technical and administrative aspects of mid-size construction projects
• Analyze project requirements and supervise all activities related to contract administration, change orders, cost estimating, submittals, procurement and project schedule
• Coordinate and manage the bidding and proposal process
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions
• Monitor, maintain and track project budgets and schedules
• Supervise project close out and all related deliverables
• Experience in cost and scheduling software such as Primavera, Viewpoint and MS Office.

• REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 2 years of experience managing projects within commercial construction
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
• Basic accounting principles and budget management
• Personnel management
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external contacts.

• SOFTWARE SKILLS:
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must have working knowledge of a scheduling software (MS Project or P6)
• Knowledge of Viewpoint Construction Software is preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of Bluebeam Software is preferred, but not required
