Overview of the Role:

As a Junior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for supporting corporate IT operations, user IT configuration management and production support. You will work closely with various internal teams to enhance operations within their departments. You will also help employees with desktop problems and ensure the servers and network are running at the office. This position will offer room for growth and the ability to touch cutting edge technologies across a variety of departments. You will need to possess a deep desire to expand your skill set and grow inside the company.

What You'll Do:

  • Corporate IT
    • Managing Active Directory domains, permissions and user access rights
    • Configuring and maintaining IT equipment
    • Administering and managing Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint services
    • Maintaining Desktop backups
  • User IT
    • PC hardware and software configuration management
    • Resolving user level IT problems
    • Backup and Antivirus management
  • Production Support
    • Escalation and Production environment management
    • Track service affecting incidents and assist with communication with hosting providers

Who You Are: 

  • Productivity, initiative, professionalism, customer service attitude, attention to detail and quality, ability to multitask, team focus, strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and adherence to company IT standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Microsoft Office 2016 Suite.
  • Commitment to professional growth; seeks opportunities for development; looks for ways to share knowledge with others.
  • Experience in PC support, remote communications, local area networking, Windows 7 & 10 operating systems, software installation and configuration.
  • Experience with PC & Peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Technical certifications such as A , Network and MCP would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10, Apple OS X required.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve desktop PC and Laptop hardware issues is required.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills are needed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Active Directory
  • 3-5 years of experience with Windows and Mac OS
  • 3-5 years with Dell and Apple laptops and desktops
  • Basic networking experience
  • Anti-virus software experience
  • Cloud backup software experience
  • VoIP experience
  • Innovative and creative
  • Ability to develop and document procedures
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
