Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team. As the Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring exceptional member service and successful event execution. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Duties
- Coordinate and Run all banquet events, including weddings, corporate functions, golf outings and social gatherings
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and provide customized solutions day of
- Manage banquet staff, including training, and scheduling, and execution
- Ensure proper setup of banquet rooms, including table arrangements, decorations, and audiovisual equipment
- Monitor event timelines and ensure seamless execution of all activities
- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment
- Oversee food and beverage service during events to ensure high quality and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
- Conduct regular inspections of banquet areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments, such as culinary and sales, to ensure smooth coordination of events, and daily sidework
- Oversee and coordinate Setup Department
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and vendors
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on exceeding guest expectations
- Knowledge of market trends in banquet services and the ability to adapt accordingly
- Proficient in time management to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
