OpenWorks is Hiring a Human Resource Generalist Near Phoenix, AZ

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Add, edit, and maintain employee data in HRM system; monitor and manage appropriate workflows to ensure timely and valid data entry
  • Run reports and conduct analytics actions to identify HR trends and performance to KPIs
  • Conduct all onboarding activities
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Provide guidance and counsel regarding performance management, progressive discipline and termination of employment processes and steps.
  • Attend and participate in employee performance management and disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work surveys and assessments. Reviews, tracks, and facilitates responses to employee engagement surveys and/or employee recognition programs
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of HR process improvement initiatives
  • Act as process owner for specific HR functions ensuring appropriate personnel are trained and follow established standard work
  • Perform other duties and/or specialty projects or responsibilities as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU:

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of work experience in an HR Generalist, Recruiter, or Office Administrator function
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • HRCI or SHRM professional certification a strong plus
