Omniforce Solutions is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Texas, TX

Salary: $130k - 150k per year

Our client works at the leading edge of the construction industry, introducing manufacturing methods and new approaches to increase efficiency, quality and safety throughout the design-to-delivery process. They are seeking an experienced construction management professional who is passionate about managing and being the single point of contact for assigned projects that consist of structural steel modular building frames. You enjoy being responsible for the entire project from design development to final project closeout. You are focused on goals that include completing projects safely, on schedule and on budget with the required level of quality and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate design and pre-construction services (i.e., estimating, scheduling, project planning, constructability, site utilization, etc.)
  • Manage and facilitate the collaborative design and integration of the company system with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other sub trades insuring adequate and efficient interface
  • Provide necessary information to engineers, modelers and detailers to ensure proper design, fabrication and installation of components
  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day management of construction projects, while also monitoring and coordinating work performed by detailing, engineering, and sub-contractors
  • Provide necessary management and coordination for permit and entitlement processes
  • Prepare overall project plans, including identification of master development schedule along with construction schedule
  • Evaluate project progress and construction practices to ensure budgetary and company goals are achieved
  • Review and interpret proposed designs, details, and building specifications for appropriateness to required function standard, and initiate revisions where appropriate; advise clients as to how best achieve the required results
  • Authorize the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders and approve contractor invoices for payment
  • Research and prepare reports pertaining to cost, equipment, policies, procedures, and/or other issues, as appropriate
  • Keep management informed of project progress and issues, particularly as to needed changes in schedule, resources or product
  • Facilitate monthly billing and required payment application to ensure timely and accurate contractor billing
  • Coordinate with detailing, purchasing, fabrication and construction for timely, on budget, and accurate execution of our scope of work
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Construction Management or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the structural steel construction industry.
  • An understanding of commercial construction processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on field experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively function as a team.
  • Leadership abilities with qualities required to effectively manage several direct reports.
  • Ability and self-confidence to make key decisions, with self-awareness to consult guidance when needed.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficient modeling and detailing experience with Tekla Structures (preferably v20.0 & v2019i).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Teams (remote working).
  • Competence in the following software tools:
  • Procore (Construction Admin- document control)
  • Sage (Accounting data)
  • Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • BlueBeam
  • Experience with scheduling software preferred, e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
