Our client, established in 1984, specializes in meeting customer needs with a continually evolving product line of generator-related products. They are looking to hire a Plant Supervisor to join their team! This is a direct hire opportunity that would offer competitive pay, a company 401K plan with employer contribution match, PTO and health insurance.
Summary: The production supervisor role must participate in the planning and execution of the Production schedule to use existing capacity as efficiently as possible with main focus on product quality and safety of the employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates the activity of the production in all manufacturing areas
- Establishes the priorities for subordinates in line with the company's objectives and ensures the execution of these priorities by evaluating the performance of the employees
- Collaborates with the Planning Department in establishing the Monthly Delivery Schedule and ensures the plan is executed in optimal conditions of safety, quality and cost.
- Organizes and leads the production meetings to cover for the short-term objectives and the actions needed to achieve the production objectives.
- Coordinates and participates in resolving labor disputes and employee complaints.
- Provides an optimal framework for maintaining good relations between management and employees
- Responsible for the use of production capacities, the utilization of human resources and productivity.
- Identifies the training needs direct reports and support execution.
- Responsible for the operation in good conditions of the equipment, tools and fixtures.
- Actively participates in HSE performance improvement programs, ensuring the necessary resources and involvement
- Leads the quality assurance process for the production activities, according to the existing procedures and standards.
- Maintains and improves the quality management system.
- Ensures the material and informational resources necessary for the implementation of the quality policy
- Follow-up on all safety communication to make sure shop employees are aware of all HSE communication
Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma
- Trainings and 5 years previous work experience in similar role
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills
