Omni Hotels & Resorts is Hiring an Administrative Assistant - Golf Operations Near Frisco, TX

Location:

The PGA of America is moving to Frisco, Texas the "2018 Best Place to Live in America - where it will anchor a 600-acre, mixed-use, golf-centric development, including the golf club, future Omni resort and PGA headquarters. Currently under construction, the golf club will feature two championship golf courses, a 10-hole short course, a two-acre putting course and a 37-acre practice facility. The future two-story clubhouse will offer golfers and guests alike a 19th hole restaurant, private dining on the second floor overlooking the fairways, upscale lounges and locker rooms and a golf shop designed to entice all levels of fans from PGA tournament players to weekend golfers and other enthusiasts.

Job Description:

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Director of Golf & Operations. Omni Frisco PGA Resort will provide north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment.

We expect that our chosen individual will be instrumental in establishing processes and structure in the opening phase of the resort and golf course operations and serve as a valuable resource for the leadership team.

Our chosen candidate must have outstanding organization and communication skills and possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for great service. This is an exciting opportunity to join our founding team and be a part of something truly special.

Responsibilities:

Answer main telephone lineProvide general support to visitors including greeting them as they arriveand depart, providing directions and answering general inquires.Assist in arranging, coordinating and managing member, staff and vendor eventsManage, organize and maintain the calendar for the Director of Golf & OperationsWrite and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and formsMaintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documentsDistribute updates to staff on a monthly basisAssist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reportsAttend meetings and take detailed minutes, as requiredOrder office supplies and research new deals and suppliersCarryout miscellaneous administrative tasks such as assisting with member mailings, organizing packets, etcPrepare internal and external corporate documents and lettersSubmit and reconcile expense reportsUphold a high level of discretion.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Champions the Omni culture on property and enthusiastically promotes the hotel and company

Qualifications:

2 years of previous experience in hospitality, hotels, or fine dining is preferred.

2 years of previous experience as an administrative assistant is preferred.

Bilingual, with verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.

Prior experience with Concur, Glassdoor, Medallia, Delphi FDC and Salesforce is a plus.

Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and the ability and comfort to communicate with customers and internal associates at all levels.

Must be flexible with schedule to work include some weekends, especially in the pre-opening period of the resort.

Ability to work in a variety of settings, including sedentary seated computer work, standing for periods of time, and walking the property, and occasionally conducting work that includes lifting and moving objects of up to 50 pounds.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
