POSITION SUMMARY :

The receiver position is responsible for daily receiving and various organizational duties. This includes receiving of all deliveries, inspecting for damage, returning damaged goods, storing and rotating stock (FIFO).

All storage and organization must be within the guidelines of DOH and HACCP standards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

• Punctual, hard-working and dependable.
• 1 Years of receiver experience in reputable restaurant or catering
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Requires mobility, prolonged standing bending, squatting and reaching.
• Strong communication skills.
• Language : English, Spanish ( preferred )
• Display strong work ethics and work habits.
• Competent in organization and time management skills
• NYC food Handlers Certificate preferred
• Have weekend and holiday availability pending production flow.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Receive shipments, double check quality of deliveries, store in proper location.
• Return damaged product when necessary, keep track of returns and inform kitchen
• Keep organized record of invoices
• Keep walk-in and dry storage shelves organized and clean.
• Conduct inventory and perform other duties as outlined by Chefs or Kitchen Manager
• Support savory and dry pack out as needed
• Dishwashing / porter duties as needed : cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, walk-in floors, dry storage, loading area and kitchen.
