Oklahoma State University is Hiring a PROJECT MANAGER Near Tulsa, OK

Job Summary: The Center for Rural Health is seeking a Manager of Evaluation, Data Management and Analysis who will lead the development and implementation of an evaluation plan including data collection, management and reporting for the Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Regional (ROTA-R) grant. The purpose of this grant is to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with opioid and stimulant misuse (OSM) in rural communities by enhancing the organizational and infrastructural capacity of multi-sector organizations addressing harm reduction, prevention, treatment, and recovery (PTR). The regional approach to this program increases the possibilities to enhance capacity across our region (Region 6: New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana) and requires robust evaluation of our efforts.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES – The Manager of Evaluation, Data Management and Analysis will work directly with the Director of Evaluation and Training, as well as the Project Manager, to develop and implement an evaluation plan as well as collect, manage and report data in a timely manner.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement an evaluation plan for multifaceted technical assistance interventions based on funding requirements as well as project and institutional partner goals and objectives.
  • Design, develop and maintain a comprehensive data management system in REDCap.
  • Manage data collection and reporting of multi-site data for both internal and external purposes.
  • Utilize data management system to generate reports for analysis and evaluation of project goals. This will include data cleaning and the development of charts and graphs to effectively present the data to various users.
  • Ensure that all reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong relationships with institutional partners in Region 6 as well as internal staff to achieve the goals and objectives of multiple projects.
  • Attend and actively participate in SAMHSA training and technical assistance offerings.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Environmental Hazards:
Work is performed in an office, and on occasion at other arranged job sites. Occasional travel will be required in the performance of duties.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:
  • A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Prevention Science, Health and Human Performance, Data Science, Computer Science or related field is required or equivalent experience
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License
  • A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience in research evaluation, reporting, data management, or related field is required.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
  • Expertise in data analysis
  • Basic knowledge of designing and maintaining data management system
  • Research skills, including the ability to rapidly digest information and report on complex subjects
  • Basic REDCap skills, including building and maintaining complex surveys
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and rules
  • Ability to communicate with diverse audiences
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Deadline-driven
  • Desire to seek opportunities to add value beyond immediate delivery requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in Health, Public Health, Psychology, Data or Computer Science or similar field with specialized training and certification in evaluation or data management measures preferred.
