Intake Call Notes:

• So far, the candidates they've seen are too much construction management and not enough design
• A good candidate will have:
• 7 years of Civil experience
• Commercial land development exp
• Design experience
• Geotechnical experience
• Civil Eng degree

Nice to have:

• PE license
• They will work on permitting.
• Typical 8-5 hours
• They will travel about once a quarter just for 2 or 3 days. Just when it makes sense to go to a location.
• They like people that are proactive and confident in their decision making.
• He has 4 other civil pm IIs on his team
• They usually have 50-70 projects going on at any given time, building new stores and such
• Responsible for QC, providing direction but they don t produce the plans.

Description:

• We are in the need for 2, but have opened the 2nd position (see below) to help fill one of the two openings. Ideally, we prefer two CPMs.
• The candidates we have reviewed have not been meeting the years of experience requirement or the Education Requirement in the Civil Engineering field.
• Major Traits we are looking for include:
• Strong technical background in civil engineering and project management.
• Land development engineering design.
• Geotechnical knowledge.
• Permitting Experience.
• Cost Estimating.
• Key areas of Contribution for this role:
• Technical competency to step in and provide engineering direction to consultants and internal customers.
• Manage multiple projects independently.
