OK COOL is Hiring a Senior Account Manager Near New York, NY

OK COOL is a (very) creative studio for social media.

We are a full service creative agency for social, targeting Gen Z and young millennials. Nobody gets how to put brands into culture through platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and Web3 spaces like we do. Our clients include Nike, Spotify, Disney, Gucci, Heineken.

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team to lead and manage the development and delivery of world-class social media campaigns with in-house teams and external partners.

You will be passionate about culture and its intersection with social media, as well as someone who is commercially astute, great with clients and managing teams and not afraid to take risks. You’ll have a certain curiosity and interest in staying ahead of the curve, spotting trends and understanding the role social media plays in consumers’ lives.

You will be a part of developing best-in-class social media and creator-led campaigns for an exciting collection of clients using your understanding of current cultural trends that engage consumers and tell stories while simultaneously hitting our clients’ KPIs 

Being brilliantly indispensable

  • You know what your clients and colleagues want and need to do their jobs well; and it’s often the little and important things which you boss (contact reports written, the correct attendees in a meeting, catering ordered in)
  • You make sure everyone knows what’s going on at all times. Even if it means saying it over and over
  • You proofread like a pro, spotting those little mistakes and getting them fixed before clients see them
  • Think something might be going wrong? You escalate accordingly to get things back on track
  • You know how to develop workable timing plans and project scopes. Whether or not you buddy up with a producer; you’re a go to person for delivery issues, because you take ultimate responsibility for successful development of your clients’ work through the Agency
  • You’re helpful and proactive at all times, making you indispensable to everyone you work with

  • You earn your place in clients’ and colleagues’ hearts by cultivating your curiosity and opinion
  • You make insightful suggestions about how our clients could do things differently or better

  • You actively spend time on social platforms specifically TT - sharing trends, insights and cool things with the wider agency
  • You know there’s no such thing as a stupid question and aren’t scared to ask when you’re not sure about something

  • You give your client empathy and support while you complete the task to the best of your abilities
  • You know what motivates your clients, both personally and professionally
  • You strike a balance between IRL client meetings vs. virtual and always follow up in writing with actions and next steps (reducing the no. of emails where possible)
  • You’re a key part of the team culture; your close team and your department
  • You develop good relationships with your peers in Client Leadership and in other departments

  • You provide descriptive feedback to Creatives, Designer and Copywriters
  • You’re passionate about great ideas
  • You understand the channels you’re creating work in, so it’s perfectly crafted
  • You bring the right people together and work with partners and cross-departmental teams to create innovative solutions – on time and on budget
