Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. LOCATION
* Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
What you'll do
This is a paid Summer Internship Program (early June to early August). As an intern with our New Product Development group, you'll assist of prototyping and testing new product and service offerings for our commercial business units in subsea robotics, material handling automation, aerospace, among others.
Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You'll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.

REQUIRED
* 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
* Minimum 3.0 GPA.
* Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD.
* General knowledge and use of standard electronic test equipment, e.g., DMM/multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
* No relocation or housing assistance is being offered.
DESIRED
* Exposure to physical tools as used for home improvement, wood working, automotive related and similar, programming whether as part of coursework or as a hobby.
* Knowledge and/or experience selecting and sizing current and latest available electrical and electronic components and wiring devices, such as signal conditioning, power supplies, control devices, switching devices, SSRs, safety devices, terminal blocks, connectors, DIN rail, wiring, cabling, marshalling, dressing, etc.
* Basic knowledge of designing, interfacing, translating, and integrating various data communications signaling, such as Ethernet, USB, and serial protocols.
* Basic knowledge of DC power systems designs 5-48VDC.
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
