Engineering Internship 

Description

Dresser Utility Solutions is seeking an Engineering Intern for the development and improvement of natural gas metering products and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of products for natural gas meters and related systems.
• Support the testing and validation of new and existing product designs, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within natural gas metering devices, offering practical solutions.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to refine system designs and integrate new technologies to enhance product functionality and reliability.
• Contribute to the documentation process, including drafting, schematics, datasheets, and technical reports.
• Engage with cross-functional teams throughout the business to ensure cohesive project development and execution.
• Apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering problems, proposing innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• Stay updated on industry standards and regulations relevant to natural gas metering and apply this knowledge to ensure compliance in all engineering activities.

Requirements 

• Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in Engineering in an ABET accredited program and having completed at least the Freshman year.
• Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
• Will be interacting with production, maintenance, vendors, contractors, management, and engineering.
• Occasionally involved in presentations and providing training for plant personnel.
• Must have good problem solving skills both from a troubleshooting and project planning standpoint.
