Summary

This role is responsible for the full oversight, development, and coordination of all-sized and scoped projects from concept through initial production. The primary responsibilities are the internal program management of multi-disciplinary teams and functioning as the consistent, dedicated liaison with the external client. This role drives execution of program deliverables and is accountable for program budgets. Additional responsibilities include client presentations in a variety of formats including in-person, video conference and phone for a broad range of audiences including C-Suite, technical, and functional decision makers and internal/external project team members. This position represents Nottingham Spirk and can be involved in activities to support the business development process.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with the Client Relationship Director (CRD) to ensure seamless internal and external communication and alignment on objectives, resources, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Manages the day-to-day program execution and coordinates the daily interaction between internal disciplines and the client, including internal meetings, client meetings and all communications.
  • Manages timelines (program hours vs. budget), reviews budget, sets expectations.
  • Monitors projects against the Scope-Of-Work (SOW). Recommends any necessary SOW changes to the CRD, including changes to objectives, resources, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Presents solutions to the client to communicate the inherent advantages, challenges and tradeoffs associated with different options.
  • Holds Insights, Design and Engineering project team members accountable for translating consumer research discoveries into product requirements.
  • Holds functional leads accountable for delivering on project deliverables relative to their function.
  • Demonstrates the ability to respect and support colleagues at all levels. Consistently contributes to a positive work environment for all associates. Mentors junior associates.
  • Assures the quality of deliverables and motivates the team to deliver their best effort.
  • Assists the Business Development team in the generation of proposals and Scope-Of-Work (SOW) documentation.
  • Partners to develop and facilitate presentations.
  • Provides thought leadership – ability to think big picture, what could be and makes decisions to align with Company goals.
  • Maintains individual knowledge base of wide range of business-related topics including medical devices, IoT applications, engineered manufacturing processes, business and technical trends, emerging technologies, changing economic and business factors and overall business acumen.
  • Interacts with external C-level executives, technical and business leaders as well as across all internal levels.
  • Acts as representative for NS in meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Leads multiple often highly diverse projects concurrently.
  • As technical PM, utilizes experience, knowledge and education to help facilitate problem-solving as appropriate.
