NiJo, LLC is Hiring a Bookkeeper Near Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various financial tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and more. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivables: Manage the processing of payments, invoices, and billing statements. Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Invoicing and Collections: Prepare and send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts to facilitate collections.
  • Employee Records: Maintain organized records of employee information, including payroll details, benefits, and personal data.
  • Renewal of Licenses and Certifications: Coordinate the renewal of state and personal licenses, registrations, and certifications with multiple agencies and states to ensure compliance.
  • Union Benefits: Administer and oversee union benefits, including enrollment, deductions, and communication with union representatives.
  • Certified Payroll: Process payroll in compliance with relevant regulations and certifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Journal Entries: Record financial transactions accurately in the general ledger through journal entries.
  • Employee Healthcare Tracking: Manage employee healthcare plans, including enrollment, changes, and communication with insurance providers.
  • Monthly Closing with Accountants: Assist in the monthly closing process by preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts for review by accountants.
  • General Office Duties: Perform general office tasks such as filing, maintaining supplies, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Employee Timesheets and Expense Reports: Collect and process employee timesheets and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Time Off Management: Track employee time off requests, maintain accurate records, and communicate policies regarding time off.
  • Answer and Screen Calls: Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, screen calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or applicable experience.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Software
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
