Description: Under supervision of principal provide clerical assistance including, but not limited to: receive telephone calls, relay messages, administer first aid and medication to pupils according to procedures set by county health department, report attendance, keep records, bookkeeping, and computer entry. Maintain inventory of supplies.
Start Date: As soon as possible after hire.
Requirements: Ability to speak and understand Spanish. Genuine understanding of adolescents and sincere desire to assist students. Good organizational skills. Ability to (1) communicate effectively; (2) develop and maintain positive relations with students, staff, parents, and public; (3) receive, screen, and give varied information to callers; (4) use various technologies (computer, office machines, telephone) to maintain various student records; (5) maintain confidentiality; and (6) compose with clarity a variety of correspondence. Knowledge of: (1) counseling procedures and functions, (2) student cumulative files, and (3) office procedures and practices. Employment contingent upon fingerprinting and acceptable performance on in-district clerical skills test. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exception request upon hire.
