NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE AUTHORITY is Hiring a HRIS Specialist Near Woodbridge, NJ

HRIS Specialist

Under the general direction of the Human Capital Management (HCM) Manager, the HRIS Specialist will assist with the planning and management of HR information systems (HRIS) and HCM data. This position will serve as a liaison between HR, ITS, and other departments on all reporting, data entry/management, and HRIS project management needs.

  • Acts as department subject matter expert for all HRIS.
  • Enters and maintains employee and company data in HR information systems as needed.
  • Administers profile and login support to employees and applicants for the HR information systems.
  • Daily review of error reports of the nightly data uploads to the HR information systems.
  • Assists in the research and analysis of HCM data related matters and reporting needs.
  • Creates reporting and metrics to improve HR processes, and to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Partners with all HR sections and ITS in the management and implementation of HRIS projects.
  • Creates queries and reporting for HR, Executives, and other departments as required.
  • Represents HR at all project meetings dealing with HRIS.
  • Assists in the definition of HRIS project scope/objectives and gathers business requirements.
  • Assists HR and ITS Training Managers in creation of process documentation and user training.
  • Monitors project progress continuously, coordinates and monitors team efforts, and gives direction to ensure project success.
  • Participates in the RFP/RFB process for procurement of HRIS.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or other business related areas.

2. Must have five (5) years of experience in Human Resources or ITS field.

3. Must have three (3) years of experience in HRIS project management.

4. Expertise in Excel.

5. PeopleSoft or UKG experience preferred.

6. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

7. Valid New Jersey driving license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
