We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant with HR knowledge to join our client in the trucking industry. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in administrative tasks while possessing a basic understanding of HR functions.
This role will require strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
Responsibilities :
1. Provide administrative support to the management team.
2. Experience maintaining accurate employee records, including personnel files, timekeeping records, and HR databases, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations preferred.
4. Assist with payroll processing, including verifying timesheets, calculating wages, and ensuring accurate payment to employees.
Driver payroll experience is preferred.
5. Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employment, safety, and transportation in the trucking industry.
6. Perform general office duties such as filing documents, ordering supplies, and managing office equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements :
1. Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant with HR knowledge, preferably in the trucking industry or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of HR practices, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.
3. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
6. High degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
7. Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulations, especially those relevant to the trucking industry.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
