Job Responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for the full Accounts Receivable lifecycle, including accurate and timely processing of invoices and management of aging receivables report. As Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for calling customers on collections, resolving invoice discrepancies and driving optimal processes that are aligned to company goals and objectives. Providing phone support to incoming accounting calls is also an integral function of the position.

• Handle inbound customer calls, emails and other communication in a prompt and professional manner, delivery high quality service with every interaction.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, ACH and credit card transactions into the company service and accounting system.
• Review delinquent accounts and contact customers regarding overdue amounts. Issue demand letters and escalate accounts for additional action or bad debt write off.
• Drive customers to utilize auto payment plan and e-invoice delivery method.
• Audit new customer profile as it relates to accounting for accuracy. Print, audit and mail invoices to the customers.
• Submit Certificate of Insurance (COI) customer requests to the insurance agent.
• Prepare miscellaneous reports as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:

• Knowledge of alarm and security industry is a plus.
• Possess high energy and positive attitude over the phone.
• Excellent verbal, typing, written and customer service skills. Detail oriented is a must!
• Takes initiatives, pursues opportunities, and tackles goals and objectives established.
• Experienced in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, results driven.
• Must be very analytical and have excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Exceptional computer skills on a PC.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.
• Ability to work normal business hours 8-5pm with occasional overtime as necessary.
