Navarro is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to support the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations.

Job Overview:

As a Project Manager supporting the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating projects related to DOE cooperative agreements, grants, and financial assistance programs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and government representatives, you will ensure the successful execution of projects, adherence to project timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle for DOE cooperative agreements, grants, and financial assistance programs within the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED).
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, deliverables, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and DOE representatives to establish clear communication channels and ensure alignment of project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or roadblocks, and proactively implement corrective actions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular project meetings, prepare progress reports, and effectively communicate project updates to stakeholders, including the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED).
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure projects adhere to DOE regulations, policies, and procedures, including the timely submission of required documentation and reports.
  • Foster positive relationships with DOE officials, program managers, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration, address concerns, and explore new funding opportunities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, project management methodologies, and tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to DOE cooperative agreements, grants, and financial assistance programs, specifically within the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related discipline). Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (X years) in project management, specifically in managing DOE cooperative agreements, grants, and financial assistance programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOE funding mechanisms, regulations, and compliance requirements, particularly within the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED).
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and government officials.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving project objectives and addressing challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor project performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and evolving DOE guidelines within the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED).
