Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Waste Management Specialist Lead in Oak Ridge, TN.

• Ensures all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
• Directs waste characterization, storage, and disposition for LWMS.
• Manages project RCRA/TSCA, low-level waste (LLW), and CERCLA waste storage areas.
• Communicates with CNS environmental compliance personnel for required environmental notifications and regulatory reporting.
• Maintains project FMCSR DOT compliance program for drivers and tractors.
• Coordinates with personnel for transportation of wastewater receipts, characterization, and acceptance.
• Ships samples to off-site laboratories. 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a scientific discipline, or related technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in waste management, environmental compliance, or waste transportation.

Experience and demonstrated proficiency in wastewater treatment and liquid waste management. 

Experience will include radioactive and hazardous waste characterization, packaging, storage, and disposition in accordance with RCRA, TSCA, DOE Order 435.1, and DOT regulations.

The Waste Management Specialist(s) must coordinate with waste generator organizations and personnel for the acceptance or rejection of waste streams
