Overview

Overview: Nakupuna is looking for a Lead Test Engineer who can test and implement Human Capital Management (HCM) and payroll functionality for a suite of PeopleSoft solutions for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A). The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience with evaluating software for performance needs, implementing performance test strategies, and writing performance test scripts. The Lead Test Engineer will take on primary responsibility for coordinating performance test activities within the development teams. As part of the team, the Lead Test Engineer will analyze, implement, and support testing activities in support of the design, development, and implementation of a large, complex PeopleSoft project. The Lead Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the delivered software and documentation is adequately tested and meets quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing efforts across test phases and coordinate with test representatives from various teams in creation of test plans, test cases, and test metrics
• Track and communicate project testing status to key stakeholders
• Define and maintain test strategies and processes in support of testing deliverables
• Identify and implement best practices across the team
• Develop testing estimates, escalate risks/issues, and provide test reports to ensure project related test deliverables adhere to company’s policies and meet deadlines
• Ensure all committed deliverables are on track according to the established milestones
• Ensure delivery of code and systems meets performance, operational readiness, and other non-functional requirements
• Uphold responsibility of leading a team of testers and overseeing their day-to-day activities
• Support junior team members through training and mentorship
• Participate in interviewing and hiring of new team members

Qualifications

In addition, the candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

• Software Test Certification desired
• At least one SAFe certification such as SAFe Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant, or PMI ACP is desired

Education/Experience: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related Engineering or IT discipline.

• 5 or more years of experience applying Agile methodologies and tools on at least one IT related development program, to include defining and testing user story acceptance criteria
• 5 or more years of experience with HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and HP Performance Center (or similar tool for Performance/Load testing)
• 10 or more years of acquired knowledge in planning, directing, and managing interoperability testing (interfaces, data quality, etc.)
• 10 or more years of acquired knowledge in planning, directing, and managing all major testing events (e.g., functional, regression, performance/load)
• 3 or more year of experience applying automation testing
• 5 or more years of experience as Test Lead on at least one similar size or scope on an IT related program in Federal, DoD or IC agency
• 10 or more years of experience as a Software Test Engineer
• 7 or more years of experience developing and executing detailed test plans
• 10 or more years of experience developing test scripts, scenarios, and use cases
• 5 or more years of experience testing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft etc.)
• Proven success using modern DevSecOps methods and tools including automated testing tools and monitoring tools is desired
• 5 or more years of experience as Test Lead on a PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 or Global Payroll implementation is desired

Clearance: This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
