Aloha~ The major function of this position is: The Sales Manager, Key Accounts is tasked with building and maintaining strong relationships with buying, planning, merchandising, training, and operations teams across a portfolio of retailers. This individual is the main point of contact between the designated retailers and Maui Jim and is responsible for delivering benchmark customer service at all times, to include managing all communication flow between the accounts and internal teams. The Key Account Sales Manager must anticipate the client’s needs, manage the day to day requests and requirements of each retailer, analyze data, create strategic plans, and execute all programs in a timely fashion to optimize success and ensure sales objectives are achieved. Furthermore, the Key Account Sales Manager is responsible not only for growth through existing dealers, but also must pursue new business development and grow the client base via the addition of new retail clients. The position will collaborate with Executive Management, Marketing, Accounting, Creative and Service Teams Essential Functions: 1. Develop and execute strategy to build accurate sales forecasts, deliver sales results and attain profitable growth with MJ Key Accounts. Monitor and track key account sales and provide regular feedback and progress to Sr. Director. Manage collection to ensure most productive assortment is presented across all accounts and a healthy balance of top performers and new products are available in all accounts. Budget and Invest marketing dollars in programs that drive retail sales. Monitor results of all programs Maintain accountability and deliver sales results that meet/exceed all forecast targets. 2. Serve as the key liaison between managed accounts and Maui Jim. Develop and maintain a solid, respectful, and vested partnership between key accounts and Maui Jim; fulfill client requests and objectives, while meeting all proposed timelines/deadlines. 3. Work closely with marketing, creative, and service teams to develop, communicate, and execute 360 campaigns that ensure account satisfaction and sales growth for both the client and Maui Jim. 4. Anticipate Key Account challenges, customer needs and impediments; provide solutions and programs for improvement and seek out opportunities for positive change and new growth. 5. Research, pursue, and capture new account business to build a portfolio that is relevant and that provides optimal brand exposure and sales results. 6. Utilize data and analytics to drive decision making process for assortment planning, model stock, customer facings count and product positioning 7. Establish merchandising program in line with direction from Maui Jim, customized to meet customer needs 8. Highly strategic with a propensity for planning and organization to ensure deliverables met in a timely fashion and within budget 9. Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training 10. Analyze gross margin, turn, inventory health and return on investment for accounts 11. Resolve client issues and concerns in a timely fashion and anticipate needs and concerns of accounts to avoid issues in sales/productivity 12. Provide benchmark service to existing key accounts to safeguard retail sales plans and wholesale shipments. 13. Enhance account and ASM team development via field visits; identify areas of opportunity and validate that Maui Jim is delivering best in class service and results across the account portfolio. Detail areas of concern or market/retail challenges and provide options for improvement or resolution. 14. Provide feedback regarding current competitive landscape, competitor products, and market/industry dynamics. 15. Regular travel to accounts , attend trade shows and regional sales meetings as required. Desired Qualifications: As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or Strategy required (MBA preferred) Minimum 7 years of key account management and training experience required. Successful track record exceeding sales targets and established relationships with National Accounts Skills preferred for this position: Ability to travel overnight /- 70% of the time Ability to effectively communicate in a variety of business settings Ability to utilize a PC Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently Excellent written and verbal skills with an ability to present in front of large audiences Goal Oriented, organized team player that is self-motivated, self-directed and has a “hands on” mentality In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry Distinctive feeling for life style, trends, fashion, design and aesthetics Results oriented with strong strategic sales approach Ability to develop and maintain key management relationships within the National Key Account Structure Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contracts Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions Confident with retail math: AUR, COGS , Gross Margin, OTB, Profit Margin, Turn-Rate and WOS calculations Ability to multitask and manage more than one client account Effective project management skills and strong organization/time management Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals Maintains a professional presence in a multitude of environments and act as a Brand Ambassador Aloha Spirit Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Special Language Requirement (If Applicable): At Maui Jim we are passionate about making the best sunglasses in the world and providing customer service like you’ve never seen.
